So we are doing this now.
Apparently, while I was minding my own business, drinking tea, cataloging cursed artifacts, and saving reality one story at a time, Rumplestiltskin went and announced a whole New Era for the Immortal Gazette during my last issue.
Bold move. Very on brand.
Yes, darlings, it is true. The Immortal Gazette is changing. New lore tellers are coming. New voices. New chaos. Rumple’s sister Twisted Ivy has already breached the building with tea in hand, and I fear that was only the beginning. Next year promises an influx of storytellers, legends, and inevitable disasters of the mythic variety.
Chaos is not approaching.
Chaos has arrived early and taken a seat.
And that means something rather inconvenient for me.
Because if the Immortal Gazette is entering a New Era, then so is this column.

What does that mean, exactly?
Excellent question. I have absolutely no idea.
I do not yet know what stories I will tell, which lores will surface, which legends will claw their way back into the light, or which secrets will demand to be spilled whether I like it or not. I do not know how strange it will get, who will object, or how many bells I will need to lock away for everyone’s safety.
What I do know is this.
I am ready.
Ready for deeper lore.
Ready for sharper truths.
Ready for messier myths, dangerous fairy tales, and stories that refuse to stay buried.
Ready for tea that scalds, legends that bite back, and narratives that absolutely should not be trusted at first glance.
This column has always been a place for secrets, scandal, and stories whispered where polite society pretends not to listen. That is not changing.
If anything, it is getting louder.
So settle in, my darlings.
Refill your cups.
Mind the bells.
A New Era has begun, and I intend to enjoy every delicious second of it.
