(Let me tell you a story, of a creature feared by many, where the legend of the Aswang brings terror and dread)
In the heart of the Philippines, where legends breathe,
Lives the Aswang, a creature that makes you seethe.
By day it’s a woman, kind and fair,
By night it’s a monster, with a bloodthirsty glare.
It preys on the sick and the helpless too,
A ghastly fiend, its legend true.
The Aswang, with its dual guise,
A creature of the night in disguise.
In the dark, where it hunts its prey,
Its fearsome tale will make you sway.
From village to village, it roams the night,
With a hunger that causes endless fright.
Its scream is a signal, a dreadful sign,
Of the Aswang’s curse, so dark and malign.
In the shadows where its evil spreads,
Its tale is told in hushed, fearful threads.
The Aswang, with its dual guise,
A creature of the night in disguise.
In the dark, where it hunts its prey,
Its fearsome tale will make you sway.
(And though you may try to hide or flee,
The Aswang’s legend will forever be)
