The Legend of Robin Hood. A Poetic Retelling

The Legend of Robin Hood

A Poetic Retelling

Of Myth and Lore

(Let me tell you a story, of a hero’s fight and justice in the woods~)

In Sherwood Forest, where shadows blend,
Lived Robin Hood, a bandit and friend.
With bow and arrow, he took a stand,
For the poor and needy, he’d lend a hand.

The Sheriff of Nottingham was his foe,
Oppression and greed, they’d overthrow.

With Merry Men, his loyal band,
He fought for justice across the land.
Against the rich who took too much,
Robin stood with a steadfast touch.

Robin Hood, with his bow so true,
Stood for the people, against the few.
In the forest, where freedom rang,
He’d rob the rich, and to the poor he’d bring.

A legend of right, a hero’s plight,
In Sherwood’s green, he fought the fight.
The tale of Robin, brave and bold,
Still in song and story told.

Maid Marian, his love so fair,
Stood by his side, with courage rare.
Together they battled, the sheriff’s might,
For justice and honor, they’d always fight.

In the greenwood, where freedom thrived,
Robin Hood kept the spirit alive.

With Merry Men, his loyal band,
He fought for justice across the land.
Against the rich who took too much,
Robin stood with a steadfast touch.

(So when you hear the wind in the trees, remember the outlaw who fought with ease)
