The Legend of King Arthur

↪ Poetic Retelling
Of Myth and Lore

(Let me tell you a story, of a sword in stone, and a king who rose to claim his throne)

In ancient Britain, the land was torn,
A kingdom divided, its people forlorn.
But young Arthur, pure of heart,
Drew the sword, set apart.

From the stone, Excalibur shone,
And Arthur claimed the crown as his own.

With knights beside him, noble and true,
He built a court where chivalry grew.
At the Round Table, they vowed to defend,
To fight for honor till the very end.

King Arthur, of legend bright,
A beacon of hope in the darkest night.
With Excalibur’s gleaming blade,
He led a kingdom that wouldn’t fade.

A tale of knights, of love, of war,
A king whose legacy forever soared.
From Camelot’s towers to Avalon’s shore,
Arthur’s name will live evermore.

But darkness stirred, betrayal crept,
As Lancelot and Guinevere wept.
The kingdom faltered, the grail was sought,
In battles fierce, many were caught.

Mordred rose with treachery near,
The final clash drew ever clear.

In the fields where destiny lay,
Arthur faced his final day.
With honor bound, he fought so bold,
But even legends can grow cold.

(And though he sleeps beneath the waves, one day he'll rise, our world to save)
