The Tale of Robin Hood
↪ Poetic Retelling
Of Myth and Lore
(Let me tell you a story, of a hero’s aim, and the outlaw who fought against the king’s claim)
In Sherwood Forest, where shadows play,
A band of outlaws took their stand each day.
Robin Hood, with his bow so true,
Stole from the rich, and the poor he knew.
With Friar Tuck and Maid Marian by his side,
He fought for justice, with his band as guide.
Against the Sheriff, cruel and cold,
Robin’s story was bold and told.
With every arrow, and every deed,
He championed those in dire need.
Robin Hood, a legend of old,
A hero’s heart, a tale so bold.
In the forest deep, where freedom’s found,
He fought for the poor, with a bow’s resound.
A tale of justice, of daring flight,
Of an outlaw who stood for what was right.
His story lives, through song and lore,
Of Robin Hood, forevermore.
With Little John and the Merry Men,
They defied the law, time and again.
From Nottingham’s walls, they took their stand,
A symbol of hope, in the troubled land.
Though the Sheriff sought to end their spree,
Robin’s legend would never flee.
Through the forests and over the hill,
Robin fought with a warrior’s will.
For freedom’s sake, and justice’s cause,
He lived his life without pause.
Robin Hood, a legend of old,
A hero’s heart, a tale so bold.
In the forest deep, where freedom’s found,
He fought for the poor, with a bow’s resound.
A tale of justice, of daring flight,
Of an outlaw who stood for what was right.
His story lives, through song and lore,
Of Robin Hood, forevermore.
(And though the times have changed and gone, Robin’s name will still shine on)
