The Tale of Persephone and Hades
↪ Poetic Retelling
Of Myth and Lore
(Let me tell you a story, of love and plight, and a queen’s descent into the underworld's night)
Persephone, a maiden fair,
Taken to the realm of shadows and despair.
Hades, the god of the underworld,
With his darkened throne, where fate is unfurled.
In the depths of earth, their love did grow,
In the shadows, their hearts did glow.
Through seasons change and darkened skies,
Their tale of love never truly dies.
In the realm below, their bond is strong,
A love that endures, a mythic song.
Persephone and Hades, a tale of fate,
In the underworld, where darkness waits.
Through seasons cold and summer’s bloom,
Their love defies the shadowed gloom.
A queen of spring and a darkened lord,
Their story is one of love’s accord.
From the pomegranate seeds to the seasons’ sway,
Their love shapes the world in its own way.
In spring she rises, in autumn she falls,
A cycle of love through the underworld’s halls.
Their story lives in the changing tides,
A love that forever abides.
Through the realms of light and shadowed night,
Their love endures, forever bright.
In the dance of seasons, their tale is spun,
A legend of love, forever one.
Persephone and Hades, a tale of fate,
In the underworld, where darkness waits.
Through seasons cold and summer’s bloom,
Their love defies the shadowed gloom.
A queen of spring and a darkened lord,
Their story is one of love’s accord.
(And though she returns with the changing seasons, their love remains, an eternal reason)
