Pandora’s Temptation
In the shadows it waits,
a vessel of secrets,
a promise wrapped in silence.
Curiosity stirs within my soul.
Can I resist,
or must I know.
Golden light trembles along its edge.
A lock unseals.
Truth spills forward,
untamed and burning.
One touch.
One glimpse.
And everything begins.
Pandora’s box opens wide.
A storm rises with no place to hide.
Temptation calls my name,
and nothing is ever the same.
Shadows crawl.
Darkness spreads.
Echoes of chaos fill my head.
Each breath pulls me closer,
into the rising fear of what I have done.
The weight of it presses against my chest,
yet I cannot turn away
from what has begun.
The unknown yawns open.
I stand at its edge.
Golden light becomes a wound.
The curse is revealed.
Sins long hidden
spill into the world like smoke.
I thought I could close it.
I thought I could turn back time.
But the door has been opened,
and every scar now stands exposed.
Still, within the ruin,
a single flame remains.
Hope whispers softly,
fragile yet unbroken,
even as the world fractures below.
Pandora’s box stands empty,
yet its echo lingers.
And in the quiet after the storm,
hope still breathes.
